{"id":3190,"date":"2014-09-09T11:05:40","date_gmt":"2014-09-09T16:05:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/agrilife.org\/d54h\/?page_id=3190"},"modified":"2015-10-13T11:35:42","modified_gmt":"2015-10-13T16:35:42","slug":"2014-15-district-eventscontests","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/4h.agrilife.org\/d54h\/2017-18-contests-events\/prior-years-contests-events\/2016-2017-contests-events\/2015-16-district-5-contestsevents\/2014-15-district-eventscontests\/","title":{"rendered":"2014-15 District Events\/Contests"},"content":{"rendered":"<address><strong>Information regarding District 5 Events\/Contests will be posted under the event\/contest as soon as it becomes available .<\/strong><\/address>\n<div>\n<p><strong><em>District 5 4-H events are registered online through 4-H Connect. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong><em><strong><em><strong><em>A county agent, the 4-H coordinator, or an agent designee\u00a0is responsible for insuring that each 4-H Connect entry is correct\u00a0before confirming it at the county level.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The District Office will be confirming each entry as it is received.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>All events have an entry registration deadline date.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"first last\"><strong><em>Payments<\/em><\/strong> for entry in an event are due <strong>before <\/strong>the event. Entries must show as paid on 4-H Connect by Noon the Friday before the event.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"first last\"><strong><em>Late payments<\/em><\/strong> will result in the 4-H member not being able to place or receive awards in the event.\u00a0 However, the member may still participate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>AGE DIVISIONS:\u00a0 Members must register in the appropriate age division.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(Division is determined by school <strong>grade <\/strong>on August 31)<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li>Junior \u2013 grades 3,4,5<\/li>\n<li class=\"first\">\n<div>Intermediate \u2013 grades 6,7,8<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"last\">\n<div>Senior \u2013 grades 9,10,11,12<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Agents are responsible for policing qualifying entries at the county level.\u00a0 The District Office, the event Judge, and\/or the activity committee have the authority to question an entry and if validated, entries may be disqualified.<\/p>\n<p>By registering online, the 4-H member gives permission to the District Office to share entry materials submitted for an event or photos taken at the event.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Information regarding District 5 Events\/Contests will be posted under the event\/contest as soon as it becomes available .
